Toni Braxton “Deadwood” music video shoot

Although Ro studied classical cello and spent most of their youth in orchestras, they have brought their rich tone to a vast landscape of genres within the Los Angeles, Boston and New York music scene since 2002.

Ro has worked with such well-known artists, musicians and composers as Lorde, Mike Posner, Toni Braxton, Willie Nelson, Annie Lennox, The Boston Pops, Dream Theater, Alan Silvestri, George S. Clinton, Ron Carter, Terri Lyne Carrington, Lalah Hathaway and Melissa Ferrick. They also played on Deepak Chopra’s meditation CD, The Secrets of Healing.

Ro’s cello can be heard on over 300 tracks for more than 175 albums, motion picture and television soundtracks, commercials, trailers, video games and short films.

After spending the better part of 2014 interning at Apple with their Music Application Content team, Ro landed tours with two bands in the summer of 2015 and finished out the year in New York playing cello for the Off-Broadway revival of Once Upon A Mattress, their fourth musical.

Ro is currently in Los Angeles freelancing as a cellist, songwriter and sound designer. Most recently they finished a 2017 summer tour with Lorde and was featured in Toni Braxton’s “Deadwood” music video. In addition to working as a freelance musician, they also continue to work as a photographer and videographer.
